History

It all started with the winning of 2 first class Continental RTW tickets from the American Express Wishlist way back in 2007 equivalently delivered with 560K miles. 6 years later with the merger of United and Continental, topping off the account to 700K miles with credit card offers, and a planned Leave of Absence from work, this trip is actually taking place starting 4/3/2013 and ending 6/28/2013.

Royal First Thai Airways 940 - Bangkok to Milan

Royal First Class on Thai Airways

We just flew Thai Airways into Europe in true first class (3 cabin aircraft A340-600). We arrived at the airport extra early to take advantage of everything. First class check-in was a private suite area in the the airport also with private security. They immediately booked us for full body massages in the Royal Orchid Spa. This was a full 1 hour massage in a private suite with showering facilities. We then moved to the Royal First Lounge which is a whole different experience than a normal lounge. They have full service bar and dining as well as everything being extremely well decorated and kept up.

The flight was wonderful. Its the most space we've had on board, the food and service were perfect, and they even make up your bed, give you pajamas, and tuck you in! Pictures of the flight cabin are below.
